{"id":7418,"date":"2024-04-11T11:40:18","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T10:40:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/?p=7418"},"modified":"2024-08-30T13:19:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-30T12:19:37","slug":"international-standards-for-data-centre-design-and-built-infrastructures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/international-standards-for-data-centre-design-and-built-infrastructures\/","title":{"rendered":"International Standard for Data Centre Design and Built Infrastructure &#8211; ISO 22237"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The demand for a genuine globally consistent data centre standard has resulted in ISO\/IEC JTC1 SC39 WG3 adopting the European EN 50600 standard as the basis for a new international standard designated as ISO\/IEC 22237. The initial documents were published and made available from ISO as the first editions of the ISO\/IEC TS 22237 series based on EN 50600.&nbsp; ISO\/IEC JTC1 SC39 WG3 has since been devloping the original TS documents into full international standards, which are now largely published as full ISO\/IEC Data Centre Standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Operation-Maintenance-static-1024x875.png\" alt=\"Future-tech Operation and Maintenance\" class=\"wp-image-6159\" style=\"width:620px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Operation-Maintenance-static-1024x875.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Operation-Maintenance-static-980x838.png 980w, https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Operation-Maintenance-static-480x410.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that the ISO\/IEC TS 22237 documents were originally based on a direct copies of the EN50600 documents with exactly the same content and title, and were commented on and refined by all participating national standards bodies with membership of ISO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This has resulted in the publication of full ISO\/IEC Standards, rather than the original Technical Specifications. The work on this commenced from the first publication of the TS documents and remains ongoing with new documents are being approved for publication periodically. Most of the series is now completed and additional documents are being added. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comments from the development of the ISO\/IEC 22237 standard are being passed back to the European committee responsible for ongoing development of the EN 50600 standard to be incorporated into revised documents if appropriate.
